Bee’s Knees is a locally owned and operated team proudly serving Vernon, Coldstream, Armstrong, Lumby, and the surrounding North Okanagan.

We were founded on a simple mission: to deliver exceptional service and honest value while building a company where the best local tradespeople love to work. With a team of 15 skilled technicians and support staff, we back every job with clear systems, transparent pricing, and a commitment to doing things the right way—the first time.

From same-day emergency repairs to full HVAC installations and indoor air quality services, everything we do is designed to give you peace of mind throughout the Okanagan’s extreme seasons.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Deeply Local: Born in BC and bred in Vernon. We know this community because we live here.
  • Full Support: Our full-time warehouse and admin team ensures your parts are in stock and your job stays on schedule.
  • Transparent Pricing: No hidden fees, no “salesy” pressure—just honest recommendations.
  • Expert Team: We invest heavily in our licensed journeymen and apprentices to ensure you get top-tier expertise.

Meet the Owner – Kevin Ukkonen

Hi, I’m Kevin. I grew up across Vernon, Lumby, and Coldstream and have spent over 20 years as a plumber and gas fitter. My wife Sylvana and I started Bee’s Knees in 2019. Back then, I was on the tools all day while she handled the admin (and joined me in the field when things got busy!).

In 2023, I stepped into a full-time leadership role. My goal is to build a company that delivers the most consistent, high-quality service in the valley while providing great careers for local families.

When I’m not at the shop, I’m usually at home with Sylvana and our four kids—Kael, Gavin, Viktor, and Luna. We’re currently “slowly” fixing up our acreage in BX. When I get a rare moment of downtime, I still enjoy a good video game or an anime series.

I’m passionate about doing business with integrity. We treat every customer like a neighbor because, in the North Okanagan, you usually are.

Thank you for supporting a local business. We’re proud to serve you.
